some recent work:

who will be remembered here: 2025

Picture

a fieldwork performance project created with CJ Mahony, in collaboration with Historic Environment Scotland and Forest of Black. Made possible with funding from Creative Scotland.

This project is a cry against the erasure of cultures, languages and identities which has defined our past, and threaten to define our futures. Through the creation of a four short films and a book, we ask questions about the stories we choose to tell and how these stories shape the lives of those who come after us.

The films will receive their world premiere at Sheffield Doc Fest in June 2025.

Cloud Man in Chicago: 2024

A Constellation Points and Filament Theatre co-production. Images by Rudy Schieder.

Cloud Man was created in 2009 by myself and Ailie Cohen, and has been touring internationally ever since.

This new version of the show was created with Filament Theatre in Chicago. Two new performers learnt this one person show and an interactive installation was created in the theatre foyer. This production has now been touringto schools and theatres across Chicago and the Midwest.

Up next, we plan to create a Gaelic version of the show to tour schools in Scotland.

Work with Queer Elders 2019 - present

images: Tiu Makkonen

In 2019 the National Theatre of Scotland invited me to lead a two year project celebrating the lives of older LGBTQIA people called The Coming Back Out Ball.

This project featured social dance clubs to build community and shine a light on the lives of our queer elders and the work has now evolved into the Culture Club Collective and is run by Sanctuary.
